More then likely it did, and made you more relax or completely changed your mood. According to Paul G. Young, he said “Studies show that where schools increase opportunities for the arts for all students, test scores rise proportionately.” So, for decades scientists have been researching about this topic an proving that music or art is powerful as we think it is. The benefits by music education can also be said to be success in society, school, developing intelligence, and life. Dee Dickinson said “Schools who produced the highest academic achievement in the United States today are spending 20 to 30% of the day on the arts, with special emphasis on music.” Why would we take this away from the children even with all this proven test and research, the answer is that we shouldn’t. If anything we should fund them more.

Some of the arguments against music programs are very week, with lack of prove. The government wanted to many focus of core classes such as English, reading, math, history, etc. But, with the money cut back, the government is having to cut back on teachers, so who are the first to go? Teachers who teaches the extracurricular activities are the teachers who are first to go, and people just don’t understand how important it is to have it. The government think its unimportant and programs such as “Save the Music Foundation” are trying there best to keep them up in school across America. Other conntries such as China, Japan, England, France, Russia, even Germany
