This is a new technology called CommentPress that will allow us to have a truly interactive textual environment.  There will be several weeks during the semester when I will post something here in the main text area, and instead of going to the class discussion board, you will come here and make comments or ask questions about the text.

This offers a lot of very exciting educational possibilities.  I hope you will share my interest and enthusiasm in making it work.

This is way cool. If everybody participates, the sky’s the limit!

This is really neat. I promise I will refrain from using the postmodern essay generator to write further comments.

This is a great tool to leverage at any grade level. It was once considered to be more appropriate for andragogical practices. However, with the recent surge in social networking, particularly with Facebook and MySpace being opened to early adolescent users, blogging and the use of comments as a learning tool must be explored more. This can be an ideal blend of social constructivism and Web 2.0 technology.

I think the key to success is a combination of ease of use and navigation, with aesthetic concern. In other words make it easy to use and make it look pretty and the students will use it. Good luck.

Let me know how this works for you at the post-secondary level.

The tool is easy to use. Will you ask students if they like it?
